Off topic: sound recording equipment

My favorite microphone for sound recording on field is the Sennheiser ME66. This is a shotgun mic with ultra low self-noise. Ideal for making audio records in the nature.

DSLR cameras have low quality built-in mics and preamps, so I have to use an external recorder.

My current audio recorder is the Marantz PMD-661 Mk2 with XLR 48V phantom power.
